The Chyron Operator, Technical Director, Director, and Associate Producer are ready for the 5:00 p.m. newscast on WVUT-TV.

WVUT-TV airs a 30-minute newscast five days a week during the school year. Students in their second-year TV production class can choose to audition for News, Sports, or Weather Anchor positions. Or, students may opt for behind-the-camera crew positions.

An Internship in advertising sales involves meeting with Vincennes business owners and putting classroom-acquired knowledge to work in the real world.

On a Blazer 91-1 airshift, a student receives email requests, answers the phone, and keeps up with the computerized logging system. All of that plus being an air personality takes a lot of concentration.
Students utilize audio production rooms for both lab assignments and on-air promotions or advertisements.

Students gain their first year radio experience on WROK and WROL. The low-power stations are streamed on the internet.

BEFORE our 5:00 p.m. newscast, the Technical Director can take a moment to smile. Once the newscast starts, it's all business.
The studio of WROL. Students work two hours per week on the low-power FM stations WROK & WROL. These stations are also streamed on the Internet.
A new Radio Systems audio console was installed during the Summer of 2005 along with an Instant Replay machine. Beginning and Advanced radio students work two hours per week on either WROK or WROL.
